Chute Fire Certification UK® has passed the audit to become a member of BESA – the Building Engineering Services Association. BESA is the UK’s leading trade organisation for building engineering services contractors – representing the interests of firms active in the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, control and management of engineering systems and services in buildings.
BESA membership ensures high competence and health and safety standards – something Chute Fire Certification UK® Director Avene Furness-Monks is passionate about. Chute Fire Certification UK® is already member of the FPA, IFSM, CHAS, ConstructionLine, Acclaim and SSIP.
Avene summarises why she feels this is so important. “When refurbishing and installing chutes, it is vital that a reputable company is used that adheres to all British Standards. Unfortunately, all too often when we go to inspect a chute, we are shocked by the substandard level of workmanship that has been signed off by other companies. This is potentially putting lives at risk. That is why we will only send Certified Fire Technicians to inspect and certify chutes.”
